Q. The game is not loading. Why?
A. You probably don't have the correct plug-in installed. The games on this site use either Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Shockwave Player or Sun's Java Plug-in (JRE). Download and install them and try again.
Q. The game is slow/works badly/has bugs. What to do?
A. Make sure you have the latest version of the required plug-in. Use the buttons above to download them. You can also contact the developer of the game in question. Follow the link inside the game to find the developer.
Q. Who has made the games on SmileyGamer.com?
A. Most games on this site were created by third party developers. These games are either freely available, or permission has been obtained from the developer in question. Some games have been made by us (SmileyGamer) or sponsored by us, you can find and download these in the Games For Your Site section to put on your own site.
Q. Can I put the games hosted on SmileyGamer.com on my own site?
A. In many cases you will have to contact the developer of the game, and ask permission. You can usually find a link to the developer inside the game, and sometimes you can download the games from their website. In other cases you will have to buy a license for the game. Some of our own games can also be downloaded or licensed. See the Games For Your Site section.
Q. Do you sponsor third party games?
A. Yes! We regularly sponsor games from other developers, if they are good quality and are a good fit for our site. We prefer action, skill or puzzle games with nice graphics, that are also suitable for kids and girls. Usually we look for games to sponsor on Flash Game License, a marketplace for flash game sponsorships. So we recommend you upload your game there. If you think your game might be particularly interesting for us, please bring it to our attention using the contact form.
Q. How can I sumbit a game?
A. You can sumbit a game using the game submission form. Make sure you follow the rules, and submit good thumbnails in 120x90 and 81x67 formats. We generally don't accept games with too much blood, gore or violence. If we accept your game, it will usually be placed on our site within 7 days.
Q. I'd like to do a link exchange with SmileyGamer.com.
A. You can do so by filling out the link exchange form. This is an automatic system where sites will be ranked according to the traffic they send. Contact us for a hardcoded link exchange in the Friends section, if your site has a pagerank of 4 or better, and has similar traffic.
